on the subject of fashion

After posting pics of Emmanuelle Alt, the editor in chief of Vogue Paris I got to thinking about how french women look amazingly chic even on their worst day. Their outfits don't look overly planned, so their chic factor isn't just cool as hell, it looks effortless. I've been trying to channel the french concept of dressing for a while now. I buy much less then I ever have but ensure that what I do purchase can be worn almost year round and mixed with most pieces in my closet. I LOVE and mix blazers and little jackets with everything. And I own mostly classic pieces but layer in the seasonal trends with shoes and accessories. If you read my blog you know that A. I'm a single mommy on a budget and B. don't like to fill my closet with clutter. I've included my fashion wish list for this Spring. I doubt I'll buy everything but I'll pick up a few of the items on my list...Here are a few more pics of Emmanuelle's effortless style, she's currently inspiring me.....
